There’s no two ways about it, as soon as the clocks turn back, our minds get to mulling, and this rich, spiced drink is just the tonic for cold nights. Recipe below serves 4 – 6.
- 1 bottle red wine (a lighter-style is ideal e.g. Pinot Noir/Pinotage)
- 250ml Dark Matter Spiced Rum
- 50ml agave syrup
- 2 oranges – juice & peel
- ginger, 2 or 3 star anise, cinnamon sticks
Place all ingredients in a pot and bring up to heat then keep warm on low temperature. Allow the mulled mixture to sit for at least 15 minutes 1 hour before serving in heat-proof cups or glasses.
